Driven by frustration with the lack of skincare products that truly met their needs, the founders of Bare Bones Beauty embarked on a journey to create their own solutions. With a newfound passion for crafting their own food, such as cheese and butter, they asked themselves, "Why not skincare?" Armed with a KitchenAid and a dream, they set out to bring something meaningful into the world. Our products are crafted with 100% Grass Fed Beef Tallow, we embrace a time-honoured approach to sustainability, utilising all available natural resources to reduce wastage. So, if you're a vegan or vegetarian, you might want to steer clear. Think of it as a respectful nod to old-school resourcefulness. 

How should I incorporate Bare Bones Beauty products into my skincare routine?

Our multipurpose balms can be used daily as a moisturiser or treatment for specific skin concerns. Simply apply a small amount to clean skin and massage gently. 

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, our products are formulated with natural ingredients that are gentle and compatible with all skin types, including sensitive and irritated skin so if your skin as sensitive as a soap opera character? No worries! Our products are like a gentle hug for your face, made with natural ingredients that play nice with all skin types, even the most dramatic ones. But hey, just to be on the safe side, give it a little patch test first. Please also read the ingredients list prior to purchase to ensure you're aren’t allergic to any of our ingredients!

How long do Bare Bones Beauty products last?

Our products are made with natural ingredients and should be stored in a cool, dry place. They typically last up to 6 months after opening. 

Do you test your products on animals?

Absolutely not! We don't test on animals—we're all about keeping our furry friends happy and carefree. Our founders are so committed to our natural formulas that they bravely test them on themselves first. Imagine them as mad scientists in a skincare lab, only without the wild hair and evil laughs. Once they’re satisfied (and looking fabulous), we move on to our network of courageous HUMAN volunteers who are ready to embrace the glow before we hit production. 

Are your products suitable for all ages?

Our products are like a universal remote for your skin—suitable for all ages, from the 'I just discovered my first pimple' teens to the 'I remember when the internet was dial-up' crowd. They're gentle, effective, and promote skin health and natural radiance. But remember, even though we use natural ingredients, it's always a good idea to do a patch test first. We’re not skin doctors, so if you’re trying to zap a particular skin gremlin, it might be best to consult with your GP first. Safety first, fabulous skin second! 

How do you ensure the sustainability of your ingredients?

We get our grass-fed beef tallow from farms that treat their cows like VIPs—Very Important Pastures! These ethical and sustainable farms ensure we're not just honouring the resources nature gives us, but also keeping Mother Earth happy with a minimal environmental hoofprint.
